Playboys Buck Fever is a beautiful, tremendous and versatile athlete. He has been mainly shown in Nat. Reined Cowhorse events where he cuts, reins, and fence works; being high score many times in each of the 3 disciplines.
Besides an outstanding performance horse, Buck Fever is a wonderful using horse; one that makes all ranch work more enjoyable! He travels out like a dream and loves to work. You know you are mounted when you are on Buck Fever and he is 100% correct, built to last a long time.
With Buck Fever’s speed and fantastic mind, he is natural rope horse; fast to steers and handles them like they are flies on the end of the rope and when he heels and stops, the head-horse faces right around if it wants to or not!
As busy cattle ranchers, horses are our passion. Mike trained Playboys Buck Fever and is his showman, Mike will continue to show Buck as time allows. We are also anxious to prove his fantastic babies.
We won the breeding to the legendary Freckles Playboy in a raffle. I told Mike I was going to win the raffle, breed Tsarina and raise us a Buckskin Stallion he said ‘alright’. Tsarina Chexanic was a great mare that we bought from Greg Ward while still on her mother. She is a full sister to the stallions; *Bueno Chexinic, *Bueno Fritzi Nic, and *Nic Chex. Tsarina won five reined cowhorse futurities, was hurt in a stall at a show and retired. A year after having Buck Fever, she got stuck on her back and died. It was such sadness to lose Tsarina and has been such joy to gain the kind of stallion as Playboys Buck Fever.
Playboys Buck Fever’s first sizeable foal crop was born in 2004. His colts are knock-outs with their sire’s big eye and substantial build. They mature early, are wonderfully natured and show great athleticism. He is throwing around 70% Buckskins and Duns.
Buck Fever is not rattled by anything; he does his job with zeal and acts like it was nothing. He is a strong athlete with grit; big stopper, turns around great, is a very smooth and pretty loper and a real bonus is that speed [for there is no substitute for speed]. He is strong, smart, cowy, and extremely well mannered.
We believe that Playboys Buck Fever is a great horse. He is built like a rock, has a heart the size of a mountain and a mind of granite. His colts are showing that he passes his greatness down, they are easy to admire.
